KIEV, June 3 - Fuhrlander Wind Technology LLC (Kramatorsk, Donetsk region) will supply 22 wind turbines rated at 2 MW each for the construction of Kazakhstan's first wind power plant, CEO of Wind Farms of Ukraine managing company Vladyslav Yeremenko has told reporters.
"This is the first wind farm under construction in Kazakhstan, its capacity is 45 MW. It will consist of 22 turbines and will be located in Akmola region (near Astana) – in the city of Yereimentau. In future it is planned to extend this park to 100 MW, then - to 300 MW. The participant from our side is Fuhrlander Wind Technology. In addition, the Kazakh side has signed a design contract with Crimea-Irey-Project," he said.
According to Fuhrlander Wind Technology Director Vitaliy Zahudayev, in the spring of 2013 the Kramatorsk company received a license to manufacture 2 MW turbines, which are suitable for installation in Kazakhstan in terms of its climatic conditions.
