KIEV, June 1 - The Petro Hodovanets self-elevating floating drilling rig, the cost of which came to some $400 million, will pay for itself in 2014, according to Valeriy Yasiuk, deputy head of Naftogaz Ukrayiny.

He said that thanks to the use of the new drilling rig, from June 2012 Chornomornaftogaz additionally extracted 200 million cubic meters of natural gas. The volume extracted allowed a reduction in supplies of imported natural gas worth over $80 million.
