The EC announced on Friday that it is deploying 447 emergency power generators worth EUR 3.7 million from the EU's strategic reserves to restore power to hospitals, shelters and critical services in Ukraine. According to the EC communiqué, the generators are being mobilised from the rescEU strategic reserves of the EU Civil Protection Mechanism hosted in Poland. They will be distributed to the most affected communities.
