KIEV, May 27 – The volume of waste from Ukrainian households in 2012 grew by 53.9%, to 8 million tons, while companies and organizations which received permits to create waste rose by 0.1%, to 442.7 million, the State Statistics Service reported.
The service said that as a whole, the creation of waste last year in Ukraine rose by 0.7%, to 450.7 million tons, although hazardous I-III class waste fell by 4.6%, to 1.37 million tons.
