SCM sends $1-bln to capital investments, modernization in Ukraine in 2024 Journal Staff Report
The largest private Ukrainian investment group SCM of businessman Rinat Akhmetov in 2024 directed UAH 38 billion (almost $ 1 billion) to capital investments and modernization in Ukraine, which is 19% more than in 2023 (UAH 32 billion, or $ 800 million). Capital investments were focused on restoring and developing the safety of key enterprises. Most of these funds were directed to overhauling power units of thermal power plants, drilling oil and gas wells, opening new benches, overhauling and current repairs of metallurgical equipment, buildings.
