Five of the eight companies that won the special auction conducted by the state-owned National Power Company (NPC) Ukrenergo in December 2024 to purchase automatic frequency restoration reserve (aFRR) services have provided financial guarantees, ensuring the construction of 30 MW of new generating capacity out of the 100 MW announced at the auction, the company reported. "The Ukrainian energy system should gain an additional 30 MW of highly flexible generating capacity next year," Ukrenergo stated on Telegram on Tuesday.
