KIEV, May 13 - Ukraine's United Energy System reduced electricity production 3.4% year-on-year in January-April, to 68.181 billion kilowatt-hours, an Energy and Coal Industry Ministry source told Interfax-Ukraine.

Combined heat and power plants cut electricity output 9.7% to 28.915 billion kilowatt hours, nuclear power plants reduced it 6% to 29.905 billion kWh, block plants and utility plants raised it 2.3% to 3.261 billion kWh and hydro power plants raised output 69.1% to 5.740 billion kWh.
