Russian oil spill in Black Sea reaches southern shores of Crimea Journal Staff Report
A substantial amount of petroleum products, spilled into the Black Sea following the accidents involving Russian tankers, has reached the southern and southwestern coasts of Crimea, according to the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources, citing information from the Ukrainian Scientific Center of Ecology of the Sea. "The primary contamination of the coastline and marine waters was caused by the redistribution of fuel oil that entered the water during the accident, influenced by currents and wind," the Ministry stated on its Telegram channel on January 6.
