Pope Francis accepts invitation to visit Ukraine, but no date set yet Journal Staff Report
Pope Francis has accepted an invitation to visit Ukraine, but the date of the visit has not yet been determined, the head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, His Beatitude Sviatoslav, said in an interview with Radio Liberty on Thursday. Sviatoslav also reported that the invitation was conveyed to the Pope, and, according to him, the UGCC has assurances that it has been accepted, but when the visit will take place is unknown. "There is no [time for the visit] yet, but Pope Francis sometimes likes to make surprises. He can announce a visit literally a month before he decides to come to Ukraine," the head of the UGCC said.
