KIEV, April 29 – The primary trade union organization of ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih (Dnipropetrovsk region) will hold a rally on May 1 against the redundancy policy conducted by the company's administration.

"On May 1, 2013, the primary organization of trade union of metallurgists and miners of ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih is to hold a rally on the occasion of the International Workers' Solidarity Day. The rally participants plan to express their protest against the policy of the company – the ArcelorMittal transnational company headed by billionaire Lakshmi Mittal, which results in the reduction of the number of workers at the enterprise with job cutting and violations of investment liabilities and conditions of the collective agreement," read a report of the trade union committee, a copy of which has been sent to Interfax-Ukraine.
