Kryvy Rih Iron Ore Plant asking government for assistance, VAT refunds Journal Staff Report
The management and labor unions of Kryvy Rih Iron Ore Plant have appealed to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for assistance in stabilizing iron ore sales and reclaiming value-added tax (VAT) refunds for exported products. According to an open letter published on the company's website, 90% of the ore extracted by the plant is unsold within Ukraine and remains stockpiled, with only 10% successfully sold to foreign buyers.
