Dutch court rules Russia has illegally taken Privatbank assets in Crimea Journal Staff Report
On December 6, 2024, the Supreme Court of the Netherlands upheld the arbitration decisions that recognized the illegality of the expropriation of the assets of the state-owned PrivatBank (Kyiv) in Crimea by the Russian Federation, the financial institution said in a press release on Thursday. "The Supreme Court's decision opens the way for the final determination by the Arbitration Court of the amount of losses and damages to PrivatBank caused by Russia," it said.
