KIEV, April 17 – Japan has supplied the first batch of 84 Toyota Prius hybrid patrol cars to Ukraine as part of the Kyoto agreements, the state-owned Derzhekoinvest enterprise reported.

Ukraine will get 1,136 more such vehicles by this October in order to replace outdated patrol vehicles.

According to the enterprise, the total cost of the project is UAH 380.7 million, with one patrol car costing Ukraine about $39,000 at the current exchange rate.
