KIEV, April 12 - Ukraine will continue producing An-70 military transport aircraft even without the participation of Russia, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said.
"We have agreed to resume cooperation under the An-70 project and started working. Russian officials now state that they're planning to create military transport planes on their own. Ukraine will have to continue working under such conditions and bearing the costs, but we'll create such an aircraft. It's currently undergoing flight tests. This is the last stage of the development of this aircraft," Azarov said Friday at a roundtable on "Inter-Party Cooperation within the CIS."
He said that Ukraine would manage to bring the An-70 to mass production.
