KIEV, April 12 – The Ukrainian government is not planning to raise the excise tax on fuel, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has said.
"I have already had an occasion to point to the actual size of the excise tax on fuel, and I want to say that the government doesn't have such intentions, as the media reported, concerning an increase in the excise tax on fuel," he wrote on his page on Facebook, while communicating with users on Friday.
The Infrastructure Ministry sent its proposals to the Cabinet of Ministers regarding a gradual increase in fuel excise so that to bring it to the level that is equal to the average minimum in Europe.
