KIEV, April 9 – Coal mines under the management of Ukraine's Energy and Coal Industry Ministry lost UAH 3.683 billion in Q1.

The ministry said that in the first quarter of 2013 state-run coalmines produced coal worth UAH 2 billion, which is 17.1% or UAH 411.7 million down year-over-year.

In January-March 2013, the average price of coal made by state mines came to UAH 503.30 per ton. The average price fell by 23% or UAH 150.20 compared to January-March 2012.
