NBU says Ukraine’s forex reserves drop 8.1% to $38.9-bln in September Journal Staff Report
According to preliminary estimates of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU), Ukraine's international reserves in September decreased by 8.1%, or $3.44 billion, to $38.899 billion. "This dynamic is due to the NBU's foreign exchange interventions to cover the structural currency deficit on the market and smooth out exchange rate fluctuations, as well as the country's debt payments in foreign currency," the central bank said on its website on Monday.
