LONDON, Oct. 26 -- Fitch Ratings has today affirmed Mittal Steel Company N.V.'s ("MS") ratings at Senior Unsecured 'BBB' and Short-term 'F2'. The Outlook remains Stable.

This affirmation follows MS's recent announcement that it has agreed to buy a 93% shareholding in leading Ukrainian steel manufacturer Kryvorizhstal for approximately $4.8 bln.
