KIEV, March 25 – The surplus of Ukraine's balance of payments in February 2013 was estimated at $1.3 billion, while in February 2012 there was a deficit of $55 million, the National Bank of Ukraine said.
"On the one hand, there was a decline in the deficit of the current account, while on the other, the surplus of the financial and capital accounts was the highest in the last few years, at $2.3 billion," reads the posting.
The NBU said that the deficit of the current account in February 2013 shrank by 39.9% year-over-year, to $967 million.
