KIEV, March 13 – The European Energy Community is not an end in itself for Ukraine, but the economic feasibility of international unions is important to Kiev, Regions Party MP Oleh Zarubinsky said.
He said that intensive negotiations were currently being held between Russia and the European Commission on the withdrawal of the effect of the third energy package with respect to South Stream and that Bulgaria had joined the negotiation process.
"Europe won't intervene in Ukraine's conflict with Russia's Gazprom. Their position is neutral. Moreover, the idea of building South Stream is supported by such countries as Germany, France and Italy," Zarubinsky said on Wednesday.
