The Moldovan authorities may reintroduce licensing for the import of grains, sunflowers and corn, as farmers demanded under the threat of renewed protests in the country, Newsmarker reported. A bill providing for licensing the import of grains, corn and sunflowers was registered in the Parliament of Moldova by a Member of Parliament from the Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS), Chairman of the Parliamentary Agriculture and Food Industry Commission Aleksandr Trubka.
