KIEV, March 11 – Ukraine has supplied 18.2 million tons of grain crops to foreign markets since the beginning of the 2012/2013 marketing season, which was five million tons more than in the same period of the previous marketing period, the Agricultural Policy and Food Ministry reported.
"As for grain exports, we're going through the 2012/2013 marketing season stably, and we expect that in general, exports will reach 23 million tons. Farmers have already supplied 18.2 million tons of grain crops to foreign markets, which is five million tons more than in the same period of the previous marketing year. In particular, as of March 5 farmers exported 9.7 million tons of corn, almost 6.2 million tons of wheat and two million tons of barley," Agricultural Policy and Food Minister Mykola Prysiazhniuk said.
