Ukraine reduces energy goods imports 34.6% on year in Jan-May Journal Staff Report
Ukraine in January-May 2024 reduced imports of fuel and energy goods in monetary terms by 34.6% compared to the same period last year, from $5.2 billion to $3.4 billion, according to statistics published by the State Customs Service. In total for five months of 2024, Ukraine's foreign trade turnover amounted to $44.3 billion: imports - $27.5 billion ($25.4 billion a year earlier), and exports - $16 .8 billion ($16.5 billion for five months of 2023).
