KIEV, Oct. 19 - Ukraine will reduce spending on nuclear fuel imports from Russia by 24% on the year to $302.4 mln in 2005, compared with $397 mln in 2004, the Energy and Fuel Ministry said Wednesday.

The ministry said the imports will drop because Ukraine last year had purchased extra fuel worth about $96.4 mln to load two new nuclear power reactors commissioned in 2004.
