KIEV, Jan. 24 – Ukrainian chemical companies cut production of titanium dioxide by 5.3% or 8,167 tons in 2012, to 145,640 tons, the Cherkasy state research and development institute of technical and economic information reported.
The institute said Crimea Titan (Armiansk) reduced titanium dioxide output by 2.2%, to 106,330 tons and Sumykhimprom cut it by 12.8%, to 39,310 tons.
Urea output by Ukrainian chemical companies in 2012 came to 3.678 million tons, a decline of 3.5% or 135,000 tons on 2011.
