KIEV, Jan. 18 – Ukraine’s opposition Svoboda party on Friday vowed to take legal action to try to stop a production sharing agreement with Royal Dutch Shell on extraction of shale gas.

The move is aimed at stopping the PSA the government plans to sign with Shell later this month on extraction of shale gas from Yuzivska field in the Donetsk and Kharkiv regions.

Both, Kharkiv and Donetsk regional councils gave their approvals to the PSA on Wednesday and Thursday, opening door for the official signing of the PSA.
