KHARKIV, Oct. 19 ??“ The Kharkiv-based Malyshev Plant, the Ukrainian giant producer of tanks, is in talks with China on joint creation of a new tank on the base of the T-84 tank.

Hennadiy Hrytsenko, the director general of the plant, told about the talks at a meeting with Ukrainian MPs representing Kharkiv region in the parliament at the regional administration on Friday. The meeting addressed the budget claims of the region for 2006.
