KIEV, Jan. 15 – Ukraine in 2012 harvested almost 46.2 million tons of grain in bunker weight, 18.6% less than 2011, the State Statistics Service reported.

The service said that wheat harvest last year shrank by 29.4%, to 15.76 million tons, that for barley by 23.8%, to 6.9 million tons, and maize on the cob by 8.4%, to 20.9 million tons.

Last year the company harvested 44% less millet (156,400 tons), 15.3% less buckwheat (238,600 tons) and 6.7% less rice (158,600 tons).
