KIEV, Dec. 26 – The new owner of FC Metalist Kharkiv, Serhiy Kurchenko, has stated that he intends to win the Ukrainian Premier League within three years and is ready to buy Kharkiv municipal authorities' share in the Metalist Stadium.

"I don't want to look at Shakhtar Donetsk's and Dynamo Kyiv's back, and I don't want us to celebrate the receipt of bronze medals in the Ukrainian championship every year. I want to hear the anthem of the Champions League at our stadium. Our goal is to win the championship's gold medals within three years and to bring the European trophy to Kharkiv within five years," reads Kurchenko's statement that has been passed to Interfax-Ukraine.
