KIEV, Dec. 20 – The vacancy rate of office centers in Kiev in 2013 could grow from current 14% to 20%, according to Oleksandr Nosachenko a managing director of Colliers International Consulting Company in Ukraine.
"The office vacancy rate today, if we don't take into account the Toronto business center, is around 14%. There are no doubts that in next 12 months the vacancy rate will considerably expand. Vacancy in 2013 could jump to 20%, and this will be painfully for the market, as the market balance is considered to be 10-12%," Nosachenko said at a press conference in Kiev on Wednesday.
Today, rent rates for A class offices in Kiev total $30-40 per square meter a month and that for B class offices - $17-26 per square meter a month.
