KIEV, Dec. 14 – Ukraine’s State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving expects that electricity generation from renewable sources in the country in 2013 will reach two billion kilowatt-hours, the agency's head, Mykola Pashkevych, said in Kiev on Friday.
"Next year we haven’t gathered plans of investors and according to our monitoring; we should launch around 300 megawatts of solar power plants and 300 megawatts of wind power plants. Thus, the generation [from renewable sources] next year could reach some 2 billion kWh," he said.
