KIEV, Dec. 6 – It’s official: Ukraine will see the year out without a renewal of its $15 billion Stand-By Arrangement with the International Monetary Fund.
A visit of the IMF mission to Ukraine has been rescheduled for the second half of January at Kiev's request, according to IMF Resident Representative in Kiev Max Alier.
"At request of the Ukrainian authorities, the IMF mission that planned to visit Kiev on December 7-17 to discuss the Stand-By Arrangement will be postponed until the second half of January. The Ukrainian authorities noted that this will allow involving the new Cabinet of Ministers that will replace former ministers that resigned in early December," Alier said.
