KIEV, Dec. 4 – The trade union organization of ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih steel mill in Dnipropetrovsk region has sent an open letter to the Ukrainian leadership, local authorities and prosecutors with a request that they help the company's employees resist the layoff policy conducted by the mill's owner, Lakshmi Mittal.

The open letter written by delegates of the primary trade union organization of PJSC ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih was sent to the president, the prime minister, the parliament speaker, the chairman of the State Property Fund, the attorney general, the Dnipropetrovsk governor, the mayor of Kryvy Rih, the chairmen of the Federation of Trade Unions of Ukraine and the Trade Union of Metallurgists and Miners of Ukraine, and to Lakshmi Mittal personally.
