KIEV, Nov. 27 – The International Monetary Fund rejected key macro-economic indicators in Ukraine’s 2013 budget, forcing the government to delay the budget bill, Economy Minister Petro Poroshenko said Tuesday.
The government was supposed to submit the budget draft to Parliament for debate and approval on November 20, but the bill had been postponed indefinitely.
“We have an active discussion with the IMF,” Poroshenko said. “They disagree.”
The government has been desperately trying to win resumption of $15.2 billion loan from the IMF that has been suspended two years ago.
