KIEV, Nov. 19 – The Ukrainian weather center expects to obtain a $52 million loan from the World Bank to upgrade its service, said Mykola Kulbida, the director of the center.
"Our latest proposal, announced at a meeting of the state commission for human and ecological security, is a possibility to obtain a $52 million loan from the World Bank to upgrade the meteorological service. All Central European countries and Russia have done this. At present, Moldova is doing this," Kulbida said in an interview with the Uriadovy Kurier newspaper published on Saturday.
