KIEV, Nov. 9 – Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has called on the leaders of the political parties in the new Parliament to start talks on forming a coalition.

"I'm asking the leaders of the political parties represented in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to start holding talks about forming a grand coalition," reads the president's official application posted on the Website of the Cabinet of Ministers on Friday.

"The scale of the tasks the country faces in the complicated conditions of the world economy demands consolidation, not confrontation," Azarov said.

"I'm absolutely serious in saying this, and we're ready for serious discussions about all problematic issues."
