LVIV, Nov. 8 - IDS Borjomi Group is facing an illegal seizure, Mykola Kmit, the group's advisor on strategy, has told Interfax-Ukraine.
"They're trying to seize our food holding, using a fake story about an alleged investment in us by Russian tycoon [Boris] Berezovsky. However, Myrhorodsky [mineral water bottling] plant was founded before Berezovsky was born, and the plant in Morshyn was a greenfield project, and no one has seen Berezovsky there. There has been no payment transferred, no invoice has been sent to us from abroad. Moreover, there is a ruling by a London court that says that Berezovsky has never been or is our stockholder," he said while commenting on mass media reports about the arrest of the assets of Ukrainian companies allegedly connected with Berezovsky.
According to Kmit, tax officers are now arresting the property and accounts of the holding in keeping with a ruling by the Basmanny Court of Moscow.
