KIEV, Nov. 6 – Ukraine’s higher economic court has reinstated the agreement of cooperation between Rudis drilling company LLC (co-owned by Kuwait Energy Company) and Ukrgazvydobuvannia in development of the Bilske gas condensate field in Poltava region and Kulichikhinske oil and gas condensate field in Poltava and Sumy regions.
Kuwait Energy said that the resumption of operations on the fields will allow boosting its daily extraction to 460 barrels of oil equivalent.
As reported, Kuwait Energy suspended the development of the Bilske and Kulichikhinske fields in late 2011, as the court declared invalid an agreement of cooperation with Ukrgazvydobuvannia. The agreement was canceled after a dispute between partners of Kuwait Energy from Rudis drilling company and Ukrbud trade base LLC (the companies were operators of the project in turn).
