KIEV, Nov. 2 – EnergoAtom, Ukraine’s state-owned nuclear power generator, and Russia's Rusatom Overseas signed an agreement on servicing nuclear power plants with VVER reactors during their life cycle, the company reported.
The agreement was signed in Kiev on October 31 by Energoatom Acting President Vissarion Kim and Rusatom Service Director General Mikhail Kontserev.
Under the agreement, it is planned to cooperate in the engineering and technical maintenance of nuclear power plants with VVER reactors, their technical servicing, system and equipment repair, prolongation of reactors' lives, their retirement from service, and staff training. Other directions of cooperation that are interesting for the sides are also possible.
