KIEV, Oct. 26 – Ukraine's population as of September 1 amounted to 45.559 million people, a natural decrease of 100,764 compared to the beginning of the year, which was partially offset by a migration increase of 26,185, according to the State Statistics Service.
According to the service, 31.323 million people (67.75%) lived in towns and cities, and 14.236 million people (32.25%) lived in villages.
Ukraine's permanent population as of September 1 was 45.379 million people.
