KIEV, Oct. 26 – Ukraine will not give up its course towards European integration after the parliamentary elections Deputy Prime Minister Serhiy Tyhypko said.
"The EU is our way, I'm sure about this. Democratic standards are better there, and the market has more prospects for Ukrainian producers," Tyhypko, who is deputy leader of the governing Regions party, said in an interview with Izvestia newspaper.
"The CIS member states are traditional markets for us, which receive 40% of our exports. That's why we could seek forms of cooperation with the Customs Union. One should also realize that joining the Customs Union is also a political issue, which may raise different reaction in various regions of our country," he said.
