KIEV, Oct. 18 – Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has estimated the cost of the reconstruction of Bortnychi aeration plant in Kiev in UAH 3.5 billion.

"There is the Bortnychi aeration plant. It's necessary to finally resolve this stinking problem...It costs UAH 3.5 billion, and this the budget of the average region of Ukraine," he told the journalists in Kiev on Wednesday.

On September 20, Oleksandr Popov, head of Kiev City State Administration, reported that the capital is in talks with international financial organizations on raising a loan for the reconstruction of the Bortnychi aeration plant, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the World Bank, and "other financial institutions that operate at 3% per annum."
