KIEV, Oct. 17 – Parliament has permitted the government to provide for a UAH 560 million government guarantee under a project on the modernization of the Bar compressor station on the Soyuz trunk gas pipeline in the context of an agreement with Germany's Ferrostaàl Industrieanlagen GmbH.

A total of 267 lawmakers on Tuesday supported draft law No. 11341 drawn up by the cabinet.

According to the law, the upper size of government guarantees provided in 2012 increased by UAH 560 million, to UAH 69.36 million.

The guarantees will be provided for the liabilities of subsidiary Ukrgazvydobuvannia as a part of agreements with Ferrostaàl Industrieanlagen GmbH signed on July 2, 2012.
