KIEV, Oct. 2 – Parliament has adopted a law on the single state demographic register, which envisages the introduction of electronic passports for Ukrainians.

A total of 233 MPs out of the 308 registered voted for the adoption of the law on Tuesday.

Under the law, the single state demographic register is an electronic information and telecommunications system designed for the storage, handling and use of information about the identity and documents of the register.
