KIEV, Sept. 28 - Ukraine’s only producer of uranium ore, Skhidniy HZK, plans to invest 500 million hryvnias, or $61.7 million, in development of Novokonstantynivske uranium deposit in 2013, a company official said Friday.
Novokonstantynivske, the largest uranium ore deposit in Ukraine and one of the top 10 largest such deposits in the world, began output last year.
“At least 500 million hryvnias will be needed next year and we plan to borrow money to invest in the project,” the official said.
