KIEV, Sept. 25 – Obolon, one of the largest beer and beverage producers in Ukraine, plans to build a biogas facility to generate power from industrial and household sewage.
According to a company report published in the Khreschatyk newspaper on Tuesday, the project aims to use biogas as an alternative fuel and reduce emissions.
The facility will have three units: a unit for the mechanical purification of sewage, a biological unit for obtaining biogas, and a sewage pump. In addition, the project foresees the installation of a steam boiler to burn biogas to generate heat for the needs of the company.
