Kiev, Sept. 14 - Ukraine examines other options of using its massive natural gas pipeline system for moving energy to the European Union, not only a joint venture with Russia, President Viktor Yanukovych said Friday.

The two countries failed to make progress in talks over the joint venture over the past year as Moscow had reportedly demanded a controlling stake in the joint venture.
