KIEV, Oct. 6 - Electricite de France (EDF) will lead a consortium of western companies that will advise Ukraine on nuclear power sector safety, according to an agreement signed Thursday.

The consortium, which also includes Tractebel of Belgium and Enprima of Finland, will come up with proposals on improving the safety at two 1,000-megawatt nuclear power reactors Ukraine has commissioned last year.
