Journal Staff Report

KIEV, Sept. 11 – A second batch of 62 Ukrainian BTR-4 armored personnel carriers assembled in Kharkiv under a big Ukrainian-Iraqi contract for military hardware, which was accepted by the customer in June, is being prepared for delivery to Iraq.

The armored vehicles are being loaded at Odessa Maritime Merchant Port for delivery to the customer.

"Sixty-two BTR-4 armored vehicles that were accepted by Iraq in June have been kept in Odessa due to technical procedures," the course said, and added that "as soon as the government of Iraq receives a letter from Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov confirming that the contract will be realized further, the road for the delivery of the second batch of the armored vehicles to the customer will be open."
