KIEV, Sept. 4 – Ukraine has officially confirmed that it will take part in the NATO-led Ocean Shield international anti-piracy operation, said Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Oleh Voloshyn.

He said at a briefing in Kiev on Tuesday that Ukraine would deploy the Hetman Sagaidachny frigate, with a helicopter and a group of special forces on board, for participation in the operation. The Ukrainian Defense Ministry and NATO are currently agreeing on technical aspects related to Ukraine's participation in the operation.
